Gabbro Photography
Based on the Isle of Skye, on the far western edge of Europe, I'm a photgrapher, writer, mountaineer and Gaelic speaker. Within the creative world of Gabbro Photography you'll find wonderful images of the Isle of Skye as well as many places around Britain and further afield. All of my work is available for purchase both unmounted and bespoke framed.
I'm also passionate about poetry and Gaelic, so many of my images are accompanied by Gaiku (Gaelic Haiku). It's the creative crossover of writing, poetry and photography that I love and whichyou can find out what drives my passion in my Artist's Statement.

I am excited to announce that my photograph, Stormshield, is the photography winner of John Muir Trust Creative Freedom Exhibition!
Celebrating the Trust’s belief that society thrives when wild places are given the freedom to repair themselves, the Creative Freedom Exhibition features a range of multimedia artworks, including paintings, comic books, movement art, and VR, all inspired by the importance of wild places.
Stormshield will be on display at the Creative Freedom Art Exhibition at the Pitlochry Wild Space from 18th March – 25th May.
